I think that at the very least ( if there is not going to be proximity chat) that in the crucible you should be able to talk to your team without having to set up a firefight. It's just common sense to make each team be able to talk to each other... Every 1st person shooter out there does it for a reason. What do u all think,
-
Most games u can mute players individually or all of them. I'm talking about in crucIble. The proximity thing should just be in tower and in open worlds
-
I agree, maybe set it up so that at the beginning of each match it gives an option to press "_" to enter a team chat for the battle. Then people can choose if they want to or not. Multiplayer thrives on communication and it's just too hard to get that right now.
-
Game chat is a crucial part of a game. This has been stated as a social experience, but lately, it has been anything but. Without the ability to talk to your team, it turns into a bunch of uncoordinated lone wolves. This situation is very sad and lazy on their part. Bungie, get your act together.
-
Well, that explains a lot. It makes it harder to meet new people too.
-
Is that the reason I've never heard anyone talk? No wonder there's no teamwork in those matches.
-
They have stated that they have it off by default bc trolls and hecklers tend to ruin the experience for a lot of players. I agree with them and prefer it off, but I wouldn't have a problem with you guys having the option to turn it on. To each their own.
-
Can't believe bungie is this stupid. They don't realize what a mute button is for. Cancelling my pre-order until this is added.
-
Definitely is needed.
-
Yes! agree
-
agree. don't be stupid bungie. Killzone shadowfall tried to do what you did. They failed. Chat belongs in multiplayer. No fireteam nonsense.
-
Great minds think alike. I JUST posted a similar message. Voice-chat NEEDS to be an option, not a decree from on high.
