Ok, so my first impression of The Tower is, meh. Think about what Bungie has given us about this game so far. It's going to be massive right? An epic sci fi adventure for the ages, well I think one of the most important things that doesn't truly reflect that is the guardians home base, The Tower. It just feels to small in size and scope.
One of my favorite home bases in all videos was the Citadel from Mass Effect. You could truly feel and breath in the epicness of that space station. That's what I think the Tower needs to more closely reflect; a home base where we would be able to explore just as much as we can when we land on a new planet.
Consider it Bungie.
AND YES EVERYONE I AM AWARE THIS IS A BETA, AND THAT THERE ARE STILL OTHER AREAS THAT ARE CURRENTLY NOT OPEN. I AM SIMPLY REPLYING TO BUNGIE ASKING FOR FEEDBACK.

I think you're forgetting once again this is not an MMO, but a shared-world shooter. People are building grandiose expectations when truly the ground-breaking features are the adaptation of an FPS to an RPG format. As someone with some familiarity as to the effort each area takes to both visualize, create, and program, I can appreciate the Tower as is. Would additional extras be cool? Yes, but BUNGiE first and foremost is focusing on the core values of Destiny's Desing: Namely good encounters and worthwhile loot. Anything else is secondary.
