Git gud
There's so many ways to kill them/the driver
-snipe the driver
-flank and shoot the completely exposed driver
-use a super
-use rocket
-use a heavy machine gun
-use a turret
-use your own interceptor
-use grenades
edit: it's official that the interceptor is getting tweaked. You can stop whining now

Most PS players couldn't hang, we never asked for the scorpion or wraith to be nerfed. So anyone who plays halo understands how to take it down.
-
My biggest gripe is I don't think you should be able to capture 2 objects on any kind of map with a vehicle. You literally never have to step foot out of the interceptor. Just hold/capture C & B with it. I could understand 1 objective could be cap with a vehicle. But it should be set up where hey you need to get out of that btch if your losing a object or recapturing it.
-
I always preferred to use my body as a speed bump thereby allowing my teammates to kill the driver.
-
As I say, git gud or git rekt.
-
I just don't get why so many players are struggling. Is it cause they are new to PVP? or that they have never played FPS games like Unreal or halo.
-
So satisfying to snipe the driver!

Edited by AdunSaveMe: 7/24/2014 3:26:16 AMAlso, pikes. Seriously, learn how to use pikes. They are beastly. It takes a little bit to whittle them down with the guns on it, but if you can go toe to toe with an interceptor and survive just by side-boosting, it's one of the most satisfying things you can do in the Crucible. Interceptors are slow. Pikes are not.
-
I just don't understand why hijacking isn't a thing. You don't have to call it hijacking but stealing another persons whip is so fun in halo. And Yes I know it's not halo.
-
If you can't stop an interceptor... Your gonna have a bad time..
-
I sniped drivers out plenty. When I was in the interceptor, I didn't die at all until the last 5 minutes of the match. Some punk spawned by a turret and just hoped right on. It can be killed. Don't nerf a good vehicle. That's like nerfing the Scorpion Tank because it kills in one shot.
-
I mean, I CAN kill it, but it is a little OP. Needs to be better counter measure. Honestly if Heavy Ammo just spawned at the beginning of the round with the interceptors that would be enough for me.
-
The first two not likely, although an Interceptor only takes a clip from my Calcutta to blow up.
-
This thread is just a whole lot of wrong. DeeJ even said so himself that they are getting nerfed.
-
Turrets kill them so fast.
-
exactly. Now people, stop whining. Interceptor is a pretty balanced vehicle and it doesn't actually have a lot of escape. Kind of clumsy and easy to kill.
-
I have to say it's OP. Reason being, you don't start with anything that can kill it. Most people can't snipe good enough to even try to hit a moving target. It has unlimited ammo, it maneuvers very easily to avoid damage. You cannot board/hijack it which made Halo more balanced. Also, rockets do not lock on and move so slow these can also be avoided. All you can do is either: A. Wait on heavy ammo to drop if you have a rocket launcher. B. Camp out in a turret C. Hope your whole team rallies and shoots it together. D. Be good enough to kill the driver with a sniper rifle. They need to do something to balance the vehicles and fix the pulse rifle which does nothing in multiplayer.
-
I'm just going to assume Bungie's nerfing it because it is OP when up against average/casual-player-chan/kun, and the whole game is sort of based around allowing casual gamers to not at least immediately burst into tears.
-
I like interceptors yes I don't get to use them much but when I do get to kill one it gives me those feels inside like Christmas just happened! XD
-
They're getting nerfed. Bungie tweeted
-
That awkward moment when you can just spend the entire map on the moon basically inside of structures and completely ignore vehicles.
-
Git gud There's so many ways to kill them/the driver -snipe the driver -flank and shoot the completely exposed driver -use a super -use rocket -use a heavy machine gun -use a turret -use your own interceptor -use grenades
>Implying you can do most of these before the interceptor sees you. K.
-
Brokenly OP, although as another player has mentioned, you can just stay inside the maps buildings/Structures. If they are getting nerfed then I wont oppose.
-
sounds like they're getting nerfd
-
I personally think you should be able to jump on it like in halo with those vehicles
-
My average K/D is around 2. If I get in an Interceptor it's around 10. That to me sounds OP. A common response on here is "get good", here's the thing. I've been 'dealt' by an Interceptor once (well 2 Interceptors at once and an entire enemy team in vehicles), i've given out with it numerous times (it's stupid not to take advantage of it). The AVERAGE player on the game simply cannot deal with it, and thus in the interest of fairness i'd like it toned down. Only yesterday I went 20 for 1, with 19 kills in an interceptor. My only death was because someone finally managed to hit me with a super... 8 minutes into the game.
-
The only time I get killed by any vehicle is if I'm just running in the open and it catches me. Any other time I'm either only in the open for a few seconds getting to another flag or I have my super/rocket ready for them. Now that I think about it, the last time I got killed by the interceptor (or the pike) was while I was in a vehicle myself and just lost that gunfight.
