Destiny Beta Update
Guardians, you have one day to enjoy the Destiny Beta on your PlayStation. Early Monday morning (Pacific Time), we'll shut down services for a planned maintenance window that will help us prepare for the main event. On July 23rd, every player with a Beta code joins the party on every platform.
Here is your Beta schedule for the remaining days:
(all times are Pacific - US)
[b]Sunday, July 20th[/b]: Iron Banner at 2PM and 7PM
[b]Monday, July 21st[/b]: Closed for Maintenance
[b]Tuesday, July 22nd[/b]: Closed for Maintenance
[b]Wednesday, July 23rd[/b]: Destiny Beta begins on Xbox, and resumes on PlayStation
[b]Saturday, July 26th[/b]: Special rewards and surprises at 2PM
Stay tuned for updates and additional news on limited time engagements like Iron Banner competition. Phase Two of the Destiny Beta will have moments you won't want to miss.

If nice rewards are given by participating in the Iron Banner testing, rewards which we cannot use due to the level cap being 8 at the moment, why give these rewards if there is a big chance that none of our character progression and collected items will carry over to the full game on September 9th? I personally don't mind as I love rolling new characters, but there will be a lot of people who won't be too happy about this.

4 RepliesIt's ok everyone saying they can't please everyone and these events are been launched to suit the US mainly, this said event is the one which players are awarded the emblem that carries over to full release, and possibly other things, I know for certain if this is an event that's only gonna last a few hours thousands of people will be extremely pissed off, I mean I played Alpha and Beta if I miss out on things that's will carry over to full release because I was working and Bungie couldn't allow time for everyone to claim it..

I only have one complaint deej! My legendary cape does not flap in the wind! Not even when riding the sparrow. My amigo did complain about nova bombs having infinite vertical killing potential as it would get him at the apex of his double jump.

8 RepliesEvery one calm down ive waited two long years for this game just to show its face. Now beta is out and every one stays bashing them for giving you free stuff at "inconvenient" times. I am a box man i only get it for 4 days and yet im grateful that i get the honor of trying to convince everyone in my life to leave me alone for a week of pure awsomeness. Can anyone confirm the times for the beta? It says on the beta faq it will start at 10 am pacific 7/23 and go till end of day the 27th. does that mean 12 am the 28th?

12 RepliesCan I ask for verification on one point please? The Beta opened at 6pm here in the UK (pretty late in the day) and we were turned off for the maintenance much earlier than the US. Are you able to comment on whether we will be short-changed like this on the 23rd-26th again?

@_@ I just looked back at my schedule and fudge me silly I have part of the last part of the Beta off so I can play a lot more gotta remember to stock up on soda and cheese.. @_@

5 RepliesDeeJ, what was the "Medic!" that appeared on my screen during the Devil's Lair strike? I revived my fireteam a lot during that, and the last time I had to revive someone, a little banner appeared in the top middle of my screen and it said Medic!

1 ReplyI have to admit, I was on the fence about keeping my pre-order of the game but after my time with the beta I'm very much excited for it now. I am curious about the story and where it's going. I know we've got two more alien classes to meet but I'm hoping more will show up down the line (or more types within the current alien lists). Great job on the voice work in the game and the character models are top notch. It was a real treat and surprise to hear the voices of Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres (just to name a few). I had thought Mr. Dinklage was the only big name voice on hand. Anyway, you've got a great game, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all comes together and please...space battles at some point. Odd to have ships with weapons that we never get to fly or pilot.

4 RepliesHas the levelling speed and ease of enemies been increased for the Beta so everyone gets to experience more of the characters abilities? Just curious as it was easy to get to level 8 in a day so imagine on full release 20 will be got in a few days to a week.
