After awhile it starts to get downright frustrating when you cannot communicate with players during PvP matches. Since the majority of the PvP game modes are of an objective nature, communication is a must, especially when you don't have any friends to play with and are pair up with random players.
Is there any plans to add public voice chat to the PvP portion of the game?

Awww are you missing the opportunity to tell everyone you slept with their mom? No need for chat in pvp unless you miss telling off peeps because they won't listen to you. Also with the k/d ration - win loss ratio meaning jack in destiny there's no reason to plan out things in pvp. Just go on and have fun knowing that whatever you accomplish doesn't really matter, no it doesn't really matter any more. None of this because......

No ty. I don't care to hear anyone else. And it's nice knowing no one can listen in on my friends and I. 'Just mute them' is silly because it sort of defeats the point of this. Just friend people you make a nonverbal connection with. After awhile you can start fire teams and -blam!- in crucible with communication. It's a huge incentive to play with friends. I did a six person fireteam in control once the other teams never broke 3k lol

Team* voice chat
-
ABSOLUTELY. How can we make this happen?
-
Cant everyone complaining about listening to others can just use mute or volume contol like every other game. I dont get the issue here, it should be an option at the very least!
-
I agree. +1 I don't understand the point of a huge multiplayer game like this one and you can't even communicate with others. I've made a lot of good friends on online games. It's always a good time meeting new people. But there isn't any meeting new people on destiny it doesn't seem like. I've invited multiple people to try and join my fire team when my friends aren't on. And not once have I had someone join me. It's pathetic that you guys didn't implement this into such a huge multiplayer game. C'mon now...

I sort of agree with this. They definitely need an option to toggle "FIreteam only" or "Public" for your mic.
-
Seriously? This whole time I've been updating my team about enemy positions and no one can hear? That's a shame and anti social for an online game.
-
Bungie said they were supposedly going to add an "Opt-in to Voice Communications" option. But after they said they wanted to do it they never said another word about it again. Not just for PvP, but supposedly for the entire game.

Man there's a lot of anti-social nerds on this thread. There needs to be the option to chat with your fireteam or mute them - clean and simple. If the loaners don't want to play with others - they can simply mute all. If you get a six year old f-bomber - and you are set to chat-on by default, mute the snitch. I really don't understand the issue with all the whining to 'not' have in game chat. If one of my buddies pops into my fireteam - why they heck can't I hear him without going all the way out to Party Chat? If some loaner pops into my fireteam - why can't I have an immediate option to highlight him and give the option to chat? Is BUNGIE too DUMB to figure this out? I am beginning to believe so! - Ghost

That a 12 year old Kid can say me he F**** my mother Last Night? No thanks. They can stay at CoD and BF.
-
I dont understand why u guys want this feature when i virtually almost never see a random group of people cooperate and work together
-
100% agree. It's a pain to try and form a fireteam so you can communicate during a strike or raid.

Edited by DerDzvero: 9/19/2014 7:30:37 AMI doubt you'd see smth more than fanboys vs. Complaining people. No matter how often we write and ask questions, Bungie never replies. It's kind of Microsoft corporate culture-all users have the right to pay them and praise them, but to actually report a problem or ask for a fix-forget it. My 2cents: Don't try to believe and hope smth changes in future-just enjoy what you currently bought. I personally find multiplayer a joke and a warming exercise for BF3/4 play ;) i mean where else can you practice headshots in 3D so good ;)

Yes yes yes

Edited by ink3D 4L: 9/16/2014 2:53:31 PMI generally mute everyone because it can get old listening to people trash talk and argue, but for a new games I like to ask questions and learn from others experience. Also every once and a while you get a cool team who actually work together!

Hell no. Keep it fireteam only. I really don't want to hear kids complain or brag about how awesome they are in the crucible. Thanks, but no thanks.
-
I agree. In match making you should be able to talk to your team, you could be trying to make friends...also you should be able to talk to anyone on the same map as you or tower..not everyone but at least like a 10ft range or something to talk to someone. For a game that's about social it isnt that social..
-
Yea I agree. I don't like that there can be two fireteams in the same area working together but they can't communicate other than pointing. Same with people at the tower.
-
Edited by MyOps: 7/20/2014 7:23:46 PMThis seriously needs to be addressed. How can you have fun in a game if you can't use teamwork and communication?? Plus, the game just feels dead without anyone else to talk to.

For an always-online game, this seems like a MAJOR oversight. The community has your back, Alex. +1.
