Been feeling like this for a few years but I'm 42.
Most games don't grab my attention anymore.
Burned out on every fps.
Really liked infamous second son - most fun I've had in a few years but it was short. Got the plat in about a week.
Played the destiny alpha, it got my attention and renewed my interest in fps.

This. Standards raised with each additional year. Just reading books and occasionally playing titanfall until Destiny is released.

I'm with you man. 34 and two small children in addition to job in oilfields. Very rare that something peaks my interest enough to buy it or use some of my precious free time to play it. However, I've recently upgraded the rig and been digging into Elder Scrolls Online and The Old Republic. Both excellent games, in my opinion.

Funny I seem to have more fun with single player or online co-op games anymore... Was all about online mp going way back to quake pc. I do skip every cut scene anymore they bore the hell out of me ;)

Well. I do spend most of my time on the old republic running the story missions. I party up when I need help for heroics, but other than that I'm flying solo. I think that's why I love that game so much. It's designed so well that if you want single player story content or mmo mayhem you can have both without the other being shoved in your face. And the aesthetics of destiny and the old republic are very similar to me.
