I am curious to know, when the beta comes and even when the full game of Destiny comes out....what will be your snack of choice to get you through those long raids and gaming sessions? I personally love munching on snacks when I am gaming for long periods of time. I love eating Twizzlers they are yummy. What will you be eating?

11 RepliesI already have a raid diet lol as a mmorpg player. Apples, perfect to pre wash and eat fast no issue. (Must mute mic though lol) Water, no sugary or energy crap cause it makes you crash. Hot pockets cause every real gamer eats hot pockets out of the microwave. More or less my wife loves me, and will make me foods if I ask. I usually cook so no jokes. If all else fails my kid can pour me a bowl of cereal stat haha.

Some trolli octopus or worm gummies, grapes, Pringles, maybe an occasional rockstar or monster, but mostly some peace tea.

Milk.

Beef jerky. Green Tea. The occasional Energy drink. And Trolli Gummi Worms, or Gummi Octopus. Worse comes to worse, a large chicken and veggie pizza, and a 5-mile run shortly after.

It's been a long time since I've actually played a game long enough to get hungry and need to snack. I usually just stop playing anymore (because all the games right now do not hold my interest) and cook some good food. I know Destiny will bring me back to my snacking days though. I would go with funyuns and Smith & Forge hard cider though.

7 RepliesI have come to the realization...I must make it my goal to create some kind of washable cover that can slip over a controller so we may all eat munchies freely while gaming! Then when done it can be washed in the sink and put back on XD

Water, grapes, unsalted almonds, and blue raspberry licorice. If I know I don't have to anywhere later add some Budlight Limes or Miller High Life to the mix.

2 RepliesNot much of a game snacker myself. Twizzlers aren't bad. But all you -blam!-ers eating the noisy ass potato chips need to mute your mic. I've already browbeat one friend into silence and heckled many others =P

11 RepliesI make sure to have a good diet since I'm a health nut, I'll skimp off because I have a sugar addiction sometimes: - Water or Ginger Ale - Fruits and good quality sandwiches (I'm a sandwich making pro ahaha) - Trail Mix (Sometimes with M&Ms) If I skimp off: - A whole godamn box of leclerc Celebration Cookies. - A whole -blam!-ing bottle of Ginger Ale/Seven-Up - like half a carton of eggs scrambled into delicious chicky perfection.

I rotate my choice of drinks...hot tea, juice, water, repeat. Energy drinks are bad and only gives you a short boost of energy. After a few hrs, the crash is terrible and can make you game a lot less than expected. For food, I usually lay all my intended eats out around me so I don't have to waste time in the kitchen. Typically, you want food that can sit out for hours at room temp without going bad, stale, or making your fingers too messy. Moderate amounts of protein and hydration are your optimum goals. Don't cram it all in the first hour. Try to spread out the snacks consuming 1 serving every 30mins to an hour. As you cross beyond your 2nd hour, you'll require less snacks the longer you play and opt for more liquids. Each person is different, but it's cool to learn how your body craves & reacts to extended hours of gameplay. Note: Don't ever game on an empty stomach. Eat a light meal first before you start gaming, then curb the remaining hunger with your gaming snacks as you play. This helps you avoid becoming too full, too quickly, resulting in sleepy or lazy behavior. Protein: peanut butter, jerky, trail mix, etc. Hydration: sliced apples, pears, oranges, etc. Other good choices: bananas, yogurt, pretzels, cereal, sandwiches, celery sticks, cookies, chocolate bars. Warning: 'no fried foods', 'energy drinks' or candy. Chocolate items such as kit kat, snickers, butter finger are acceptable....just no lollipops, jolly ranchers or gum.
