The problem with this topic is that fanboys on both sides refuse to look at the argument objectively, choosing instead to blindly defend their positions with emotionally charged outbursts that lack any actual substance. Both sides call attention to silly gameplay mechanics and completely ignore what actually matters—lore. Only those who have an understanding of both the Grimoire and the Halo novels, movies, etc. belong here.

After the opening cinematic of Halo 5, I think everyone started voting spartans. Lol
-
Neither. The magical ضلصاثاصفصعقتقاق would win.

Edited by Fal Chavam: 10/17/2015 4:17:54 AMChief: survives a Fall form space, Blows up alien super structures, has a far more nimble sword bearer for a friend. Guardians: death by, platforming, death by falling 10 feet, death by to tower mobs, death by shield blast, death by line rifle. Granted the guardians have ghosts but, come on, this guy jumps off ships from space for fun and has a FAR better A.I. as opposed to, "I'm actually not that great at math" bot. Not liking the guardians chances here.

Edited by DroLogic: 11/9/2015 4:23:55 AMCouldn't a titan just hammer a spartan and it'll die? Not to mention isn't the only way for a guardian to die it light needs to be taken from him and only the darkness can do that? Even if your guardian gets crushed by a falling elevator it dies but your ghost can just rez you according to the hunter vanguard... I don't think the masterchief can take your light even if he killed you over and over... a hunter can just celestial nighthawk him too lol Correct me if I'm wrong though I'd really like to know what would happen.

The issue with Spartans is they were all hype no substance. So many people buy into the hype but in game did you ever do the things the lore says you can?
I never ran super fast or punched through people...
Even the "Spartans never die" thing was fake. They died but they were told to be legends, if they can die we have no hope.
Yet all of them are kia.
Guardians can't compete with the myth of Spartans, but would win against real Spartans.
Just my honest opinion.
"Wow, what a unique and original poll!" -No one
-
Smoke Grenade +Tether + Ghallajhorn ???
-
One hit in the neck/middle of back of head and Spartans are dead because to use a spartan suit, they have to have something implanted there and if you break that connection, the suits weight would crush them.

40% are kids
-
Master Chief/Spartans can survive falls from orbit of a planet. My guardian dies when he/she jumps too high off of a building.
-
Guardians die in water
-
Master chief might win the rap battle
-
Guardian grabs Spartan and jumps off the tower, both go splat (eventually after falling an insane amount) the catch? Only one of them has a ghost that can revive them...
-
Edited by skippy2244: 11/8/2015 10:32:40 PMAn insane amount of retards voted Spartans/Master Chief I see...
-
Either way a guardian wins. Infinite revives. As for the Halo Ghosts, they are huge.
-
This wouldn't be a contest. Sierra 117 would not only beat a single guardian. But include Blue team and they would decimate a battalion of them
-
CE magnum. Argument invalid CE magnum>hammer of sol CE magnum>unlimited shadowshot CE magnum>oryx
-
One life, no revives... Chief all day.
-
Infinite ghost revives will always win. "Nerf OP Guardians!" -Master Chief- -Michael Scott-
-
One gives some first person shooters while the other gives more t-bags than lipton.
-
Considering chief can't be resurrected by cortana.. But all guardians can be by their ghost.. I think it's obvious who would win.
-
Anyone who voted a guardian is retarded
-
Normal guardian would lose but one using shadows hot glitch and/or unerfed HOS
-
Golden gun or a spartan laser
-
MC can just turn out the lights and all the guardians would die
