On a local level they pretty much are. The only cable internet provider in my area is Comcast. At the same speed what is their direct competition? What about gasoline companies? There is a difference between a company having millions of customers because they are good,and company with millions of customers because they are the only option. We all know that with most cities,except for NYC(Cuz we got options) Have their TV and Internet controlled by one provider. That's different,they are your only choice and it would take a lot of time and money for one person to change that. EA Has actually made and published good games(Mass Effect and Fifa) Even if they were etchy in the last few years,they are still one of the top three publishers.
