After discovering that My PC can't run Skyrim.(Effing Graphic card memory..) I'm getting it for my 360.
Impart with me words of wisdom.
Edit:So many words of wisdom have been Imparted and here is what I learned.
1.Buy the Legendary edition.
2.Don't sell that armour in the thieves guild. If you do, at one point you can't complete the questline.
3.DO NOT KILL PAARTHURNAX
4.Get lots of Healing potions.
Things to level up(In that order)
1.Smithing.
2.Sneaking
3.Magic?
4.Bows
5.Enchanting.
Keep em coming!

Edited by nao: 5/15/2014 3:09:42 PMEnchanting + Magic = Spells that cost 0 mana (enchanting + anything = reking everything) Necromage + Vampire Lord = More powerful spell, enchant bonuses, and active effects. If you ever get the Necromage perk and are a Vampire only get one of the slow-down-time bow perks. Two is game breaking (glitched).

1 ReplyDon't listen to a thing on this thread about play style or how to level your character. Skyrim was meant for you to play how you want. And you should discover which way you like best on your own. The moments I cherish most about playing Skyrim were in my first play through with the sense of venturing into the unknown and figuring out how the game works by myself. Now, concerning helpful hints: Everyone who said not to kill Paarthurnax is correct. You should not kill him right away when the blades tell you to. You should wait until you have: 1) meditated on the words of power with Paarthurnax, 2) spoken with both the blades and the greybeards on the matter, and 3) made your own assessment of Paarthurnax's character. Then you should make your own decision on whether to let him live or not. Don't worry about the thieves guild armor that much because you can always get a replacement set of armor in the training room to complete the quest. You want to discover your favorite way to play by yourself, trust me. I've played eight characters, four of which over level 100 and spent over 1200 hours of my life on Skyrim. That's 50 whole days. From a once Skyrim-addict, I bid you good gaming.

Make sure you have a lot of free time on your hands

1 ReplyDo the Thieves Guild quests if you like being sneaky/rich.

Stock up on health potions and hotkey them. Run up to a bandit and just spam the trigger to go swish swish stab. Use your hotkeyed potions when your health gets low.

Never ever delete your most recent 2 or 3 auto-saves (it auto-saves everytime you enter or exit a building or cave, when you sleep or wait, and when you fast travel). A few game breaking bugs still exist and you might need that last save to avoid it. Buy/steal/loot any health potions you find. You can never have too many. Consider putting some points into the speech craft tree. It makes selling your spoils much easier.

Remember: Redguard master race! Also: don't lollygag through the wilderness too long or you make the main quest incredibly anticlimactic. Finally went to finish the game after doing everything else. Here's the conversations I had with some key players in the main quest: Dude: "Alright, so now I need you to go to this place, kill the inhabitants and come back with [enchanted nonsense]." Gnoizic, holding up [enchanted nonsense]: "You mean this?" D: "Oh, yes! Well, that was easy. Next, I need you to bring me [item]. It's guarded by [people] and will test your strength and-" G, holding [item]: "This doohickey?" D: "Well done, you are most impressive now how about-?" G: "This thing?" D: "Yup! And-" G: "Here you go." D: *sighs* "Surely you haven't gotten--" Gnoizic holds up final key item. "Talos-dammit, son… Well, ready to go beat the big bad boss man?" G: "Fus Roh DAH!"

Only one tip. Play as an Argonian.

11 RepliesEdited by Luis: 5/12/2014 3:56:45 AMLevel up smithing early in the game. Be careful of who you kill. DO NOT KILL PAARTHURNAX. Constantly save, glitches can be your enemy or your friend. Marry someone, but not early into the game, unless you found the "perfect person" in it. I'll try to post some more when I think of some. Here's another:become a werewolf to get full immunity to diseases and vampirism. Also:get dragonborn dlc for cool powers and spells.

1 ReplyWho the f*ck said don't kill Paarthurnax?
He said he's evil and will do what his brother Alduin does, As dragon born you need to kill him
Archery + stealth= kill everything.

Edited by Elrond Hubbard: 5/12/2014 6:46:34 PMSneaking, Illusion, Conjuration, Archery, Enchanting, and Smithing are all key to being absurdly overpowered. EDIT: And Alchemy.

1 ReplyWhat ever you do, Don't. Turn. Left. You'll know when to use this...

Sneak through every dungeon, and before you know it you'll be killing a dragon with a single arrow. When it comes to melee weapons, the first perks (set of 5) were the only useful omes.

The thieves guild armor spawns in places around the guild HQ if you happen to sell it.

Don't buy it...
