Should the UK step down

So in the above link an Afghan male tried to get to the UK, his reason being was
"Ever since I was a child, I have liked England. It's a strong, powerful country."
And apparently it's not the 1st nor will it be the last time he will try, this is among the similar attempts of refugee's and other immigrants desperately trying to come to the UK despite crossing all of Europe. Everybody knows the UK is the 5th most powerful nation in the world with the 2nd most powerful Navy and Air force and arguably the best army in the world. (Seriously people ague like crazy over it). But clearly Britain's success is clearly making it gain unwanted attention, we one of 3 major EU nations, a founding member of NATO (Also came up with the idea), UN,EU,G7,G8,G20 and many more organizations and one of a few recognized Nuclear powers. The fact of the matter is, we are an island a fairly small one compared to our continental neighbours and other nations around the world. So do you think the UK should act it's size? Or should it continue to be a major player on the world stage?

 • Thought you got banned until June? Anyway, bleh, we've barely got anything left. Sinking everything into our reserves, we can't really push as hard as we used to until we get our newer gear i.e. Carriers and such.

 • All of those immigrants are causing problems in the UK, though. The native public doesn't want them there and treats them poorly.
"Ever since I was a child, I have liked England. It's a strong, powerful country."
England died with King Arthur, modern day UK is filled with nothing but Saxons who live there with the blood of the heroic Celts that they slaughtered to achieve the land.
