Depends on what you mean by "game tester". Development companies have testing departments that consist of experienced programmers who work (very tedious) at identifying breaks and bugs, and logging the results. Some dev's/publishers will hire out random people for beta/release tests, but my understanding is that this is a dying practice due to many gamers being more than happy to volunteer such services.
