There's no goddamn reason to keep the embargo. It was placed for bullshit reasons to begin with and every year it's been in action, it's lost more and more legitimacy. At this point, the sanctions are just negatively affecting the people of Cuba.
Seems like the US of A doesn't want to exit its Cold War mindset.

Negatively impacting the people of Cuba? Is that so? Sources? In fact, I've pointed out reasons as to why the embargo is actually beneficial. Would you like me to post more?
The embargo may not change their ideology - as the past 56 years will prove - but that's not why it's necessary anymore.
Go ahead and re-read that line. Do it as many times as it takes to let that sink in for a moment. Then get back to me. As a hint, I might emphasize the "...that's not why it's necessary anymore," and then take a gander at my evidence. It should all make sense for you soon.

Interesting point, but it's still the case of tiny Cuba being isolated from the rest of the world. The sanctions are going to have to end at one point or another. If what you're saying is true, it means that Cuba will continue to grow on its own and further isolate it from the world. Which would translate for an even more difficult time re-adjusting to being international than it is now.

Do you have sources stating that Cuba is isolated from the rest of the world? The economic sanctions on Cuba are in direct reference to trading with the United States, not other countries.
