This is probably good for the Oculus. It will hopefully bring down the price, improve the quality, and speed up the development process.
Last year Yahoo bought tumblr for $1.1 billion. You know what they've done to tumblr? Pretty much nothing.
I think it will be the same with this deal.
It's weird that John Carmack is working for facebook now though.

No it doesn't. Sure a lot of users are keyboard warriors who believe that they can complain the inequality away but at least they not as butt-hurt and easily offended as [url=http://www.mediaite.com/online/colbert-tweet-triggers-firestorm-cancelcolbert-twitter-trend/]twitter users[/url] are.
