I get my genre's confused. Where is the line between hip-hop and rap?

There's no real set line between what is what, but how I see it: Hip-hop is the culture and music genre that encludes rapping, DJing, beatboxing, graffiti, and break dancing. Rap specifically is more of a vocal style not limited to one genre.

Rap is a genre of music. Hip Hop started as more of a cultural scene that encompassed Rap, scratching/DJ'ing, breakdancing, and graffiti among other things.
