They're going to start production of the car soon, they're making a limited amount though only 30.

But it's a heavily modded Lotus with a modified engine. The whole idea behind the "production cars" category is that they're all cars that are produced that way. Once you start tuning it and swap out the engine for a custom made one, it's no longer a production car.

I would hardly call it a lotus but that's just me. Production car rules are wonky.

A production car is a car that rolls out of the factory and is done. A finished car that has been stripped of everything to be as light as possible and then got basically everything from brakes to engine replaced with custom made parts? I wouldn't call that a production car.
