It's been a pretty slow build up, but man I'm actually starting to get a little antsy for Destiny to come out!
Bungie definitely knows how to explain all the right concepts to make great game investment systems, so I'm excited to see how it'll all look when they're a part of the game.
This is pretty off-topic so maybe I should just make a thread about this question, but has anything been confirmed about being able to transfer a character from Destiny on the Xbox 360 to an Xbox One or PS4?

Nothing's been confirmed, but I'm hoping for this as well. Plus, our B.net accounts link across platforms. I'm not one to speculate but... oh wait, yes I am!

Edited by Hylebos: 1/17/2014 8:58:36 AMI personally think that character transfers are feasible, in the scheme of things it isn't terribly more complex than say recovering your Xbox Live account to a different location, there just needs to be a three way handshake between Playstation Network, Bungie.net, and Xbox Live to get it all to work. Afterall, it's not like it's cross-platform multiplayer, you're essentially just sending data on a Guardian's stats and swag back and forth with some verification that you are in fact the owner of that Guardian and what-not. Bungie has not officially said anything on the feature, and I certainly don't know much about console networking, but I'd like to think that it'd be possible if we were all playing the same game.

I tend to agree with this possibility. Everyone's stats will go to the same place and given the fact that you'll always be online all of your actions will be tracked immediately on the b-net servers I imagine. Maybe you won't start with the same weapons you had equipped on the other platform if you changed them a logged off soon after but it seems like all of the important stuff would be tracked regularly here. If you're already talking with the same data pool from different consoles why not allow character migrations. I imagine it would happen automatically if you link all related accounts here, because ms and sony servers need never communicate to accomplish the result it seems.
