So, with the recent release of the Game Informer Destiny issue and Game Informer Features a lot of new Destiny information has come to light. We now have a basic understanding of how most of the game works and its various elements. So....
- Name something you theorized/speculated that turned out to be right.
- Name something you were dead wrong about.
- Name an element of Destiny that surprised you.
** Please remember, we are discussing game elements and gameplay. This is NOT a thread about launch dates, the beta or console exclusives. I'll start:
I was right about abilities being bundled together. I had a feeling that certain perks would come as a package deal.
I was wrong about builds and focuses (foci). While I theorized that abilities would come bundled together, I GREATLY underestimated the depth and interchange-ability of "sub-classes". I assumed you had to start a new character each time.
I was surprised and excited by the competitive multiplayer map design. Verticality, shifting environmental features, basically dynamic set pieces.... brings a whole new level of strategy to gameplay. Much more interesting than straightforward "destructible elements" or the static elements we've seen in most Halo maps.
Those are my three. What are yours?

Edited by HollowLing: 12/7/2013 10:12:48 PMI didn't think the armor pieces would have special attributes besides stats, also I didn't think there would be a limit on exotic gear. This should be interesting (I was right Destiny will).
