I didn't see this posted yet, so I thought I'd share the link!

Thanks for the link - good read. If it's shared "World" and there are that many people in ""the World" at a time, there must be a tonne of freaking enemies or tasks to complete. Otherwise it's just going to be boring with you killing an enemy, then flying to some new place to find another enemy that someone else missed. I wonder if we have destroyable landscape (i.e. like BF4), what happens to "the World" we share? If I blow up a building using my SBFG (Super Big Fornicating Gun), does everyone else see that too afterwards? Might be fun to leave messages in the building we destroy for others to find (i.e. write your name "Team Denny's was here" using machine gun bullets in a wall). It's going to be very interesting to see how the game works and information is filled in over the next 8+ months.

It's not barebones simplistic multilayer like classic Halo so it's automatically bad and unbalanced.
I'm not serious.
I'm not going to lie, this sounds horrible to me!

Ugh, i dont want to have "old russia" densly populated.. its abandoned for a reason.. and on plus its a HORRIBLE thought to have thousands of lookalike huntes titans and warlocks running around your area you are just about to explore.. welcome to "silkroad" or "Fiesta" .. if thats how it will look like i will quit my pre order NOW.

Thanks for the link! Great info.

The way they talked about balancing multi-player worried me. Oh, that guy with the exotic weapon that is beating your ass? If you kill him once or twice you should feel good about it, because you're the underdog in that situation. I mean... what the hell? That's not balance. Also, the networking I believe is the way I believed it to be all along.

Really interested in trying this matchmaking system. Looks interesting but I want to see how it really works and if it's really that seamless like they say. I'm used to play MMO's which have individual dedicated servers and sometimes that kind of sucks, because if I have friends on other server I have to make another char to play with them or transfer the character from my server. Having a centralized server is a good ideia since that way everyone can play with each other without sacrificing progression.

Just read it, the way they talk about millions of players interests me, I release day Reach hit over 300k users, but they seem to think they will have far more than that. Could a PC port be part of the delay?

This blew my mind, I cannot wait to play this game. Bungie has something truly special here...it's peculiar. It makes me curious. That's a dangerous thing.

I was just about to make this post. I'm starting to get a picture of how this game is going to work, and it's kinda blowing my socks off.

this is actually really interesting, its like going from single-player/fireteam play into an instanced boss/horde fight. its similar to world bosses in mmo's and i love those, but instead of having to find a team to take them on, the game finds them for me. makes my life a lot easier. as for competitive multiplayer, i like that they're ensuring that exotics won't completely outshine other gear. all in all im still stoked for this game and all of the end-game content that will keep us playing.

I really can't comprehend all that, but I hear it at as Butcher is making matchmaking into a mesh of connected worlds. jeez, are they hexagons. Bloody brilliant. Sometimes I'm just floored watching this company. This is one of those times.

Thanks for the link. When they asked about the differences between next gen and current gen, Bungie just said they're using every bit of the current gen. But... why won't they answer the actual question? Do they mean to say there will be no differences, presumably because they want the 360/PS3 to be best as it can be and the Xbox One + PS4 are still hard to optimize? Nobody would be angry or upset by this news so I wish they'd give a straight answer. It's for curiosity. Also...
Please Discuss and Thank You.
hyle. stahp.

This sounds amazing!

Not too sure about the map being split up into "areas". I hope it doesn't mean lots of loading screens everywhere.
-
This system needs to get picked up. It's new, it's progress. Wanna be part of this innovation in shooter games :D

Good find. Thanks for the link.

Don't care.

Interesting. Can't wait for 9/9/14 to see how it plays out.

Edited by Hank Hill: 12/7/2013 1:50:37 AMSounds very unique to me.

Bungie sure knows how to torture people with excitement.
it has its own servers for that particular area so you’re continuously moving around between these groups of both consoles and also dedicated servers that are hosting it.
cross-plat confirmed?

About time they posted this. I've been waiting all day for the new story.
