Feeding from the information drip.

More information, or at least clarify things.

Continue at current pace.

Slow down info, more of a surprise later on.

It seems to me that while Bungie is giving us tidbits of information as they are ready to put it out, that they are giving perhaps too little... It must be hard for anyone who hasn't played/doesn't know of Bungie's work to be hyped for this game, when so seriously little is known. Most people are only pre ordering Destiny due to their knowledge of their previous work, regardless of the fact we know such a tiny amount about it. I am concerned that it will effect sales, and ultimately online populations, since the way they have been drip-feeding us, hype among those who aren't already Bungie fans are really low. Like, I seriously am the only one among my friends that is excited for this. And its understandable, since the only 'game-changing' element Bungie keeps pushing forward is seamless matchmaking, which will also feature in (perhaps the more well-known) Watchdogs and The Division, and isn't something unseen before (Journey, remember?). And busting open the idea of a FPSMMO-that-isn't-a-MMO means nothing if you won't show us something that proves it is to be excited for. :( So while I will buy this game, and chances are I will love it to death, do you feel Bungie is doing what they are right? Or do you feel they are maybe shooting themselves in the foot? Discuss dear fellows.

 • I wanted to revive this thread a bit since I think it's even more pertinent after the last couple weeks of almost zero news. Everything that the community has learned since the PS4 reveal has been through inference and cryptic DeeJ-isms. It's starting to get a little frustrating. Since off-site internal testing began two weeks ago I think the Beta will be incoming at the end of Janurary or early February, with full release in April. That is less than five months from now. I realize that information on the net is disseminated at a lightening fast rate, but we still no almost nothing about some of the most rudimentary aspects of the game. I did a speculative write up on the races using the information given at GDC in April of 2013, which is the really the only source of information on the subject. For a game coming out in less than four months that is insane, and I hope it doesn't mean that Destiny is in troubled waters. The "Explore Destiny" pages haven't been updated really since E3, even with The Moon trailer out. We know next to nothing about the Cabal, the Vex, or the mysterious Fifth race. I actually think we know only about 10-15% of what Destiny is really all about - and we're about to head into a beta within 60-90 days. Maybe the slow burn is just killing me, personally, but I really hope it doesn't kill the game for everyone else either.
