Lurked here in 2007, mostly visited for the Halo 3 forum/to check my stats. Joined in 2008.
Still got mad nostalgia for that time, I swear it had to be one of the most active internet forums around; place has seriously gone downhill since.
tfw you had to go through your post history and manually search through a thread to see if anyone had quoted you and replied to a post.

Why did this place get less active?

Halo declined in popularity with it's dedicated fandom, especially after Halo: Reach disappointed. Then bungie update the website to a whole new format that turned many people off, it's not so bad now but when it released it was like some twitter meets reddit abomination.

Hopefully Destiny brings them back. Why can't they just improve the new format to our liking?
