Actually, Bungie stole their ideas from Spaced Invaders. I mean, c'mon. Aliens attacking the human race? Totally Spaced Invaders. *wonders if anyone will get the point*

the similarities between halo and the first alein movie are there too. the pilar of autum looks like the ship they are on. their fighters look like the bomber thing the master cheir escapes on. on the truth and reconciliation when the marine says "we're trapped in here we're screwed man, we're screwed" are the exact line of one of the marines in the movie. but those are small similarities...nothing to do with the story line. but still kinda cool!

The Show was cancelled in 96.... having started in 95. Now I'm a huge fan of the series... d@mn good show. And I must say... it never hit me just how close these two can be compared.... the only alertations being that the "Chigs" in SAAB technology is not that much further advanced from the Humans.... and their is no 3rd speices or ancient artifacts... umm i read on bungie that halo was modeled ofter a myth game or sumtin like yea check the top stories on bungie and read it from there it shows how halo came to be like i think they copied a mod off myth or sumtin like the remodeled it it used to be a 3rd person thing and all
