Why are Lego sets so expensive?
Sheesh... They are just plastic blocks! I don't want to pay 129.99 for plastic!

Legos are expensive because they are a very well known brand name and people will pay for that name. Both Lego, and retailers, know this and so the price is jacked up so both can make a profit. There is [i]some[/i] validity to the price as they are extremely sturdy pieces which interlock very well with each other. I mean, the overall design of a Lego piece is pretty good. I don't think they're worth the entire price tag though, but people will pay for it because it's a trusted name.
