Yes, he's racist. He saw a black teenager and assumed he was stealing something. The fact that Zimmerman is hispanic is entirely irrelevant.

No he wasn't. Trayvon was up to no good and Zimmerman was a liberal.
-
What was Travyon doing before he was shot? He was just walking home.
-
Acting suspiciously then attempting to murder a stranger.
-
He didn't even know Trayvon was black until he confronted him. He said he looked black but wasn't sure.
-
Trayvon proved he was racist with his derogatory slur. Zimmerman had no way of knowing for sure Trayvon was black, and even said, "I THINK he's black" when asked by the operator. Also, he didn't assume he was stealing anything, he assumed he was attempting to steal something when witnessing suspicious activity after recent break-ins had occurred.
-
Is the slur you're referring to "creepy-assed cracker"? If so, thats not derogatory. Zimmerman was creepy, he was following Trayvon in the middle of the night. How is walking down the street suspicious, and how does that justify infringing on Trayvon's rights? This country is so paranoid. Muslims get looks in the airports, and black people can't even walk through their own communities.
-
cracker. racist against whites. >muh only wites are bad m'kay. get a grip on reality, man. anyone can be racist.
-
You're one to talk about paranoia with your whole view on every gun owner being a possible rampage killer.
-
Wow, I have no idea how you even got that impression.
-
You think the AR-15 should be banned no?
-
That is not relevant to this thread, but yes, and not at all for the reasons you describe.
-
A racial slur isn't derogatory? I'd like an explanation. How do you know he was creepy? I'd say looking through windows at night is what is truly creepy, while following such a person is admirable. He did more than walk down a street, and what rights of his were infringed? That paranoia is justified, especially when break-ins had recently occurred.

Edited by Gruntzilla24: 7/13/2013 7:40:24 PM"Cracker" refers to white people typically, but can be used as a slang term for anybody. Trayvon wasn't looking through windows, Zimmerman lied. Zimmerman and his defense have lied numerous times under oath. He didn't do anything other than walk down a street. While neither of us are experts on rights, it seems like a natural right to be able to walk through your own neighborhood without getting followed and shot in the chest. Wow, I have no words. When its the government, you freak out over the infringement of rights. When its a gun owner, everythings justified. I have no words.
-
So can an racial slur, it's still derogatory and used as such. Also, where is your evidence that George lied? You don't know that. I am an expert on rights, I enforce them often. What you described would have happened, until Trayvon decided to threaten the life of George. How convenient that you left that part out. I am outraged anytime rights are infringed upon, no matter who does them. You are making an absurd assumption. When the government is justified I am just as adamant to defend them.

the "n-word" is usually used for blacks but can be used to describe anyone. so it's ok to use it right?!?? also wasn't his neighborhood. he was visiting. so the next time some stranger walks through your neighborhood peeking in windows after a string of break ins I hope you don't call the police. by your responses you're either mentally slow, trolling, or have no idea what you're talking about and tryin unsuccessfully to sound intelligent.

"seems like a natural right to walk through your own neighborhood without being followed..." First, Trayvon doesn't own the side walk and nothing prevents someone from following him. Is only one person allowed to walk down a side walk at a time? "..and get shot in the chest" There is no natural right to physically assault someone you "think" is following you.

Yes, we really needed more of you on this site.
