Hopla, yet again you blow up my mind. So the crow is representative of Louis, right?

 • lol anytime, dude. Sort of, I think whatever group he's acting with is headed by the Queen. I think the inspiration for their and his mythos will generally come from a lot of the history regarding Charlemagne's sons. I'm not sure if he will be directly representative of Louis because Pippen was exiled and Louis was deposed for a year so there's potentially some overlap (ie another reference to Huginn and Muninn). But also I feel like he/his group could end up being in a "rightful king" type of scenario. There's a lot of duality here but then again the duality could be intentional, it's hard to sort it all out. I think his organization knows something about the Fall and was maybe outcast as a whole. He may be one of our main links in finding out what happened to our civilization. On a side note, this has been bothering me, Pippen's mother was removed from the court so the Queen we're talking about could be a woman scorned who is plotting something (ie Pippen's attempted coup). Yet if all the sons are represented by the group then there could be a faction within that sides with the Guardians. Then again this may be ancient history, so to speak. My plot twist sense is tingling.

 • Interesting, so he could be our next king... Ish. If I remember correctly, those countries were permanently divided after Charlemagne died

 • haha yeah, I think it would be more of a reinstatement (being allowed within the City) of the majority of the group rather than one leader being recognized and exalted. You never know, he could end up their leader and if this group is then the the most influential in the City I guess he could effectively be king-ish or, if you will, Jedi Council Master Yoda-ish. Yeah it was, well the Empire was divided among the three sons but Charles and Carloman died off before Charlemagne and it belonged to just Louis in the end. I know what you're talking about, there was some weird political stuff going on when Charlemagne split the land between them- even before he died. I thought the majority of the dissolution came after Louis had died too because he had to divide it among his sons like Charlemagne would have if there had been more than one. I can't exactly say because I was focused mainly on understanding the whole Proto-Indo European Mythos deal so I haven't had a chance to delve too into the European history.

 • So destiny one intwo could be his rise to power in the way you described. And then after that the aftermath?

 • I don't know, he could rise to power, he could turn out to be bad, he could die nobly, Greek tragedy style. • Precisely. I'm hoping that it's some elaborate plot line and there's some pervasive tension throughout the entire series. On a more general note, I like that the game is hopeful but I would be surprised if there wasn't some morally questionable back alley politics/subterfuge being played (could the AI Assembly be corrupt?). I would like some balance, in Halo it was MC vs the universe, the 'possibility' of failure truly made it more interesting than knowing MC would pull it off. Long story short, I hope the hopefulness they're talking about is like that in Reach.

 • That would be interesting. So you think the alpha lupi might be corrupt? So maybe they are thinking we are only tools to accomplish something, and when our usefulness vhas waned, they will sacrifice us to the anti traveler thing?
