A question about Man of Steel plot. *Spoilers*
Zod says that the kryptonians colonized other planets, but only Krypton itself (which is the home planet) was destroyed. What about the other ones planets that they colonized?

Colonies of any kind usually need a supply line. With the vine destroyed, the branches withered.

Wasn't there a mention that Krypton was a source of power for the other colonies? Zod said that after Krypton got destroyed the other colonies lost their power. I guess Krypton powered other planets. At least thats how I understood it

The other colonies died out over time, and only Krypton was destroyed because they had exhausted all of their natural resources and their activities in the core had made it unstable. The Kryptonian colonies died out before this became an issue.
