As a teacher, I can only agree to some degree. We aren't the end all be all. And as with any profession, we don't all meet the bar of quality. It really is a tough line of work though, hardly any respect, low pay, and lots of work. The ones that love doing it are the best though, and I guess that's really the key with any line of work. Just think back to when you were in school, how the kids treated teachers. It isn't easy to enjoy your work, and it can be hard to make yourself be the best when the only interaction you have is a negative reaction from those you are trying to help.
