Almost all my friends are set to buy a PS4. It'll such for me to be one of the only people not playing a PS4. I want to have a social life.
You'll find new friends on forums and playing games online. None of the friends on my list are people I know in real life. No big deal.
I like some of the new things like Skype, and the games look good.
Self-justifying; nothing needs to be said since you have convinced yourself of this. Good job.
Too expensive in my opinion. 500 bucks plus games is terrible. Micro$oft needs to think about the people that cant afford that kind of stuff, but want to play their system.
It stings, sure, but if you can make it worth your while, no problem. If you compare it to the PS4, the price difference is only a couple games at best, whoop-dee-doo, big freaking deal. Get over it and drop the extra $100 if you want it, or don't if you don't. Don't pretend like this is an issue, because it isn't in the grand scheme of things.
Online at all times- My internet connection sorta sucks, and I am currently playing offline with my 360 because my router from Xfinity wont connect to my Xbox. If the router doesnt connect to the one, what the heck am I gonna do with it?
Get a new router/ISP? And you only have to check in once a day for a couple minutes. You can even perform the check-in using a smartphone if you have one.
Good I don't buy used games all that much Bad I bought games from friends a lot of times. Now One is saying I can't do that? Thats -blam!-ing shit.
You can trade games with friends as long as you have been friends on Live for 30 days and you can only trade the game once.
My account- I've put a lot of work in my account with LIVE. It will suck to have it all go.
As long as you keep your 360 you'll be fine. Since the One doesn't have backwards compatibility, that ought to be a no-brainer.
Good Halo fan- I have been a Halo fan since the original. Halo 5 will be an exclusive for the One, and I highly doubt that it would also be on the 360. It would really suck if I'm not able to play it anymore. I've grown up to that game. Bad Maybe Halo is dying...
To me, Halo died when 343i took it over, but then I am also blisteringly biased towards Bungie, so take that as you will.

 • I would buy a PS4 as well. I am much like you with not an extraordinary Internet and a long time halo fan and hard work in profile. It pains me to say as well but PS4 is a better console. But mind you, you can always wait until later next year to get the Xbox cheaper and purchase halo 5 or whatever as well. That's what I'll be doing at least.

 • Ok well $500 dollars plus three games I want to get is $620 dollars and Live is 60 so that will be close to $700. PS4 with 3 games and PSN is $580-600 so $100 dollars saves you a lot. And with the family plan, I can trade with 10 people whenever and how many times I want. Thats a plus to me. So honestly I think it is still a bit too early to decide and lean on the consoles yet. And honestly, playing alone will suck, but I also like the games One has, like Halo, Titan Fall, Forza, etc. Just the price is really expensive, so I'll probably get it as a birthday gift or something.

 • Again, to me, once you crack the $400 threshold, $100 isn't so much, relatively. $100 is a lot of money, no question, but if my only choices are to spend $400 or $500 on a console, as the choices are now, that difference is really meaningless to me. Looking at what all the One can do (like you said, the family sharing, among others) plus the games available for the One (as you also said, Titanfall, plus I like Project Spark and a few others), I'm ok parting with the extra $100. In the end, it probably won't make much difference. I'm willing to bet Sony fans declaring "the price points doom Microsoft" could easily outspend Xbox gamers if they buy more games and peripherals, as hardcore gamers are wont to do. Like I said, all in all, there won't be a big difference in the end.
