It's good to see some manufacturing job coming back to the U.S., especially ones for a U.S. company as esteemed as Apple.
-
Good to know all the over priced Apple products will be even more expensive.
-
so does this mean an end to slave labor building iDevices?
-
Good; more and more companies are discovering it's actually cheaper to pay higher wages here than ship parts and products back and forth.
-
I remember my MacPro was assembled in Texas in 2005. I guess the manufacturing part is new.
-
Nice.

It's great that Apple is bringing manufacturing jobs to the US. The timing of this announcement coincides with them being investigated for abusing the broken tax system to avoid paying billions of dollars worth of taxes. That makes me think that they're trying to take people's attention away from the investigation.
-
Apart from good PR, what does Apple stand to gain from this?
-
They must not have to worry about taxes.

Go Taykes-us!
