I thoroughly enjoy social media, but I also like to be able to go without it. At times it's extremely constricting, and let's face it; why would you want to pass up on some purely amazing, breathtaking, captivating events like huge meteor showers just to see what someone tweeted about that holds little impact value to us?

I think that's part of the problem, in my opinion anyway. I feel like people are too occupied with what others are saying or doing and aren't realizing what they are doing or could possibly experience themselves. Or they are too taken by the idea that someone else, somewhere out there, has "liked", replied, or "thumbs upped" their post.
