When did the Austrian stayr Aug become the Australian f-88?

Australia adopted the Steyr Aug in 1985. At that time we also purchased licensing rights and Thales Australia has manufactured our rifles - due to some minor specifics on our rifle, and due to our nation's designation system, it was made the F-88; the F-89 for example is our light machine gun, the Minimi, and this new EF-88 (which has been redesigned and built exclusively in Australia) will be potentially exported as the F-90. If were to get some other service rifle, it might become the F-91, etc.
