I'm a huge fan of Nylund's Halo books, and his mortal coils series, does anyone know if be will be writing official Destiny fiction? The plot of Destiny so far is dripping with awesome sauce, and it has the fantasy/scifi elements that Nylund eats and breaths.
I'd be really happy to know for sure he is returning with his mighty pen, ready to create new wonders in a stunning universe!
EDIT: This is a question post, so some of you dislike Nylund, some of you like his stuff as much as I do, big deal. However raging 12 year olds like DeuxExUnleashed prove that the Flood is in here. Let's keep it clean and not act like him.
-
If he does I would totally read them
-
If you guys don't want him back, can Halo get him? We've really only had Bear as a good author and Traviss is a -blam!-ing clueless bitch.
-
Uuuuummmm... no. Even though Traviss and Bear's Halo books are bad too Nylund's are definitely the worst. The other three books are the only ones that are okay (not great).
-
No thanks.
-
I hope not, his stuff was meh at best. Still better than Karen Travis though. I hope she never touches Destinies lore.
-
I say let Tolkien write them.
-
I hope that there are not any books, I feel like Destiny should be entirely self contained and that the only author should be Bungie.
-
Please please please!
-
I hope there are books but not by Nylund. If you read the first halo book that came out with the game, it was terrible. Not the story but it seemed as if nobody proofread it. Full of misspellings.
-
Let's get G.R.R Martin to write them.
-
I really enjoyed reading all the Halo books. I have to say that at least for me, Greg Bear is on another level. I find his writing way more detailed and like his pace better than Nylund's. If you guys liked the Halo books I totally recommend the Forerunner Saga. Three books are out and I loved the first two. Have yet to start the third.
-
That would be awesome to have him write a book.
-
Yes. After so many books Bungie are going to break the canon.
-
i imagine it will end up having multiple authors since everyone's experiences are different when in the world of Destiny. much like D&D books, similar concepts holding together the meat of the fiction.
