Everyone gay person that I know originally said they were bisexual but now they say they are gay. What does that tell you about them? It seems pretty odd that they can change like that, it almost makes it seems like they were lying in the first place.
I read a statistic that over 40% of gays use bisexuality as a stepping stone.

Edited by God: 5/8/2013 12:50:17 AMThere are probably two parts to it. First, bisexuality does not have as strong of a stigma to it, and many people go through a bisexual phase growing up so it's a way to fish reactions from those close to them. Second, people may be hesitant to say they are gay because they might not be sure if they really are or not (again, there is a strong stigma that would make someone question it before coming out), and so they will use bisexuality as a way to test how they really feel. If they then find they like doing dudes more than girls, then they acknowledge they are gay.

Hey, sometimes you need to play both teams until you know which one's right for you. Don't hate.

3 RepliesBecause society as a whole finds homosexuality unacceptable, and they feel that they *should* have a wife [or husband] and kids, etc. It's basically because of the stigma of homosexuality.

1 ReplyI wonder that too. Are there Gays out there that just went from Straight to Gay?

I know someone who said they were straight, then gay, then bisexual, then gay again, then straight, I'm not sure what their preference is now.

Well, society until pretty recently said being gay was a mental illness. So they fought it, tried dating chicks, then saying maybe they were bi, finally telling the truth that they were gay.
