Hey I'm just testing the waters (not actually making one right now)here but how many of you would be interested in a military style clan.(THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION FOR A UNIVERSAL CLAN STRUCTURE BUT A STRUCTURE FOR ONE CLAN)
THIS WOULD ENTAIL BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO
1. Moving as a unit for pvp
2. Use of tactics I.E fields of fire, flanking, decoys
3. Trying to pair different roll types together ( a squad with a machine gunner, rifleman, sniper...)
If you want to read more of mine and my clan mates ideas check us out at

Edited by Dread0124: 5/1/2013 4:23:47 AMShadow Company operates under a military structure and we will most likely be supporting this game upon release if anyone happens to be interested... www.theschq.com For all you saying its never fun and taken to seriously, i think you guys just had a bad experiance...the clan im currently in is pretty laid back with a military ranking structure and command structure..You wont here anyone say "Private Johnny I order you to run in there and be bait while we flank around" that is waaaay over the top lol, we dont have punishments or anything, upon completion of registration the only time you're required to play with us is dureing a 1 hour scheduled practice 2 times a week.

Being British Forces myself, I like the idea of militarised feel, but only strategy. I am going to criticise your 3 ideas for the purpose of the game: 1. That would be too hard to control with players that don't know or trust each other. It's hard enough to control in real military. Moving as a unit is far slower and much more monotonous than the films make out. 2. arcs of fire and flanking are good ideas but are too difficult to control on a game console. 3. A sniper would never be part of a section. The section would be made up of riflemen and gunners. They may have some anti-vehicle capability (rockets) attached to them. Snipers, however, would be totally separate. They would work as a small team of 2-4 men under command from HQ but generally on their own terms. And even if a sniper-trained soldier was in a section he would not use a long range rifle, he would just use a normal assault rifle.

I'm all for using strategy, but military structure is just too much. people who try and establish definitive authority over others while playing a video game need to find something else for stress relief. while I understand finding somebody who is knowledgeable to give their teammates advice, forcing other players to follow your orders in a video game is way too-much
