Most of my friends are gamers, that may be because I was a gamer and I associated with like-minded people, or those friends encouraged me to start gaming. It's about 50-50. I'd consider myself the most hardcore gamer in my group of friends, in that I probably play more than most of them. Despite this, I'm still not as bad as some other gamers out there, and I definitely have not denounced the outside world just yet. I'm gonna' be hiking 200km in the Basque region this summer with all my gear on my back. I'm not as fit as I would like to be, but I'm working on it. It irks me that gaming seemed more attractive to me than sports, which of course is good for fitness. I eventually gave up the only sport I enjoyed, but gaming was definitely not a reason for that, that's another story for another day. It also irks me that it seems to get in the way of my college work and other stuff. Even when I'm not playing games, they manage to suck up my time indirectly through browsing B.net. But do I like being a gamer, overall ? I suppose so. Who knows what I would have done in my spare time if I didn't have games. Drugs, anti-social behaviour ? I got some good friends out of it, and B.net seems to be a pretty cool place when you get past the trolls and hate.
