I still dont understand why it being "always on" is a bad thing

Jimmy lives in a place with no internet. Jimmy wants to play video games. Jimmy buys the new Xbox. Jimmy now cannot run any apps or play any games because of the "always on" feature. Now Jimmy is sad because he can't play the newest games. That's just one of the many scenarios. Also, SimCity launch, look at how terrible that went. The new Xbox will be like. It's just awful. Also, this current gen of consoles is working out just fine without the "always on" feature, and the PS4 will NOT require "always on", so why is Microsoft REQUIRING "always on"? It's stupid and bad, and M$ should feel bad. TONS of people have already said that they're not buying the Nextbox because of this, and personally, I'm not either, I'm picking up a PS4, although PC will remain my "go-to" gaming platform.

Why would "Jimmy" spend 500 bucks on a new system without first reading up on its details? Ill be buying it and so will millions of others.

That's fine, but I'd like to redirect you to these articles. Both say the same thing, they're just 2 different sources.
