Best idea ever would to be able to "buy" (with in game currency hopefully) a moon of Jupiter or some other planet (perhaps even make a new moon) and be able to use a player version of Grognok to create your own awesome Moon / Moon Base.

 • I'd love that, no game has truly had full player freedom like you are talking about. Though I doubt something this ambitious will be in the game, but we can dream.

 • Sounds like Forge mode from Halo, Duke. I am down with that.

 • Your imagination would be turning Destiny into a Futuristic twist of world of warcraft so HOW ABOUT NO!

 • Good idea, but it would need to be tremendously expensive to buy land (plots of land on said moons) and structures. Only the most committed and experienced players could afford land and work with it. Also, they should need to pay some weekly fee of in game currency.

 • See I think that to buy a moon it would cost tons of money like a weeks worn of playing but then you could buy a plot of land on someone else's moon for a lot cheaper then you could build on that, the benefit to this would be more options. Say there are several thousand moons and each one has a different texture (forest moon, ocean moon, etc) and this way if you bought a moon every one wants to live in that area has to purchase land from you providing income, this in addition to mining operations could make buying a moon extremely profitable but then if you bought a large plot of land you could have your house and then smaller mines, this could also add to the economy because payers could buy/sell/and trade land with other payers, but in order for this to work if you would need to be evicted if you did not maintain/use your land/moon to prevent or at least delay the complete lack of available areas.

 • Why would it have to be so expensive? That's the selfish thinking of someone who wants everyone to be divided by power merely according to how long they've been playing the game. There would be no reason for a weekly fee. (unless you mean like a mortgage) Honestly, something like this should be as easy to attain as a house in Hearthfire for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim it would consume a large amount of resources and money while in progress,(not an absurd amount like you want) but in the end, costs nothing to continue to own after its all been payed for.

 • My thinking was that if this property was owned by the player, it would cost a weekly/monthly fee so that players who don't play anymore don't take up space (if there is a limited amount of land). However, possibly this system would be more ideal for guilds. Instead, individual players can call their space ships home so that there isn't a limited amount of space to go around. This space craft housing system could be similar to that of Hearthfire.

 • I agree with Swift, but with a couple additions You would be able to conquer your own (or group's) moon. The catch is that the player must kill all of the enemies on said moon and complete certain objectives, further adding to the multiple missions you are able to enjoy with other people. Then the beauty of Grognok would be implemented... Changing terrain would cost money for every square foot, and the amount of money would increase or decrease depending on what type of change you'll be implementing (texture, elevation etc.). Adding structures would not be forge-like, but based just on pre-designed structures (so no 'building blocks' or such). Then you could add vehicles to traverse the land and explore your moon. The base would have to have something to entice you with, but it also has to burden you. You could have the option of letting other guardians 'dock' at your port for money. You could also set up mining operations like that seen on trailer footage from the moon. The drawback to having a base would be enemy invasions at random times (but not ridiculously often). You would have to quickly hop into your ship and fly to your base to protect your investment before it becomes ridden with bad guys again. Of course, you could always put sentries around your base, but they cannot hold forever without a guardian.
