I don't know why they would go to the trouble of namiung it and giving it a logo if it was only for internal use. At the very least I think they'll be sharing it with other developers, and if they do that, then why not the community?

Bungie has a sense of humour, you know, Grognok, Creator of Worlds. I think they were just showing off what they could do with it. Nothing else.
