PS3 vs 360 Exclusive Series
Hey guys, I've been a bit concerned with what the 720 is going to offer in terms of exclusives, so I decided to look at the PS3 vs Xbox 360 exclusive games and see what the future might hold. Anyways, here's the Xbox exclusives I know about:
Halo
Gears of War
Fable
Forza
I've played all of them except Fable, and loved them all. Except I'm not excited in where Halo and Gears are going at all. I've heard Fable has gone downhill as well. I really like Forza, though.
Now lets look at the PS3 exclusives I know about:
Uncharted
God of War
Killzone
LittleBigPlanet
Gran Turismo
This is where I need your help. I've never played any of the PS3 exclusives except LBP at a friends house once. Are they any good? How do they stack up against the Xbox exclusives?

As a long time Xbox user, I think it's pretty dead these days. I never liked Gears and I don't like where Halo's going. I've stuck it out through Reach and 4, but I'm pretty done at this point. I tried really hard to like Fable and forced myself through all of them, but I hate them all passionately. They're just some of the most unremarkable games I've ever played. I don't get the hype at all. Forza's alright, but it's not enough to get me to buy a console. It's not even about the Playstation for me. Xbox is just dying.

1 ReplyUncharted is fantastic. Infamous is pretty good, you're not missing out on much though. God of War, meh. Good graphics, no motivation to replay it though. Killzone is awful.

I prefer the PlayStation exclusives; I don't really like 343 Industries' direction with Halo and Fable as a franchise is put into question on whether there will be a next one or not. Gears of War, I wasn't a fan of it anyway. Little Big Planet appeals to me really and that Bungie, Blizzard and other big names invest into the PlayStation platform makes me go towards that direction; the Xbox 360 is filled with ads, you have to pay a monthly fee, the XNA has been discounted and it's more of a "media device" than a "gaming device" anymore. The PlayStation obviously has the same thing, but it has better games at this point. (Or better developers) Plus the Blu-Ray drive doesn't hurt nowadays.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 gets a lot more JRPGs than the 360, and it makes me wish I had a PS3 rather than a 360. Next gen I'll probably get a PS4 for that reason.

Little big planet, god of war, infamous,and uncharted are all amazing games, where halo is the only Xbox exclusive I really like. The downloadable titles stack up about even with play station allowing a little bit more artsy stuff.

The good thing about a PS3 is gaming online for free, but then there isn't really any games that aren't already on the Xbox. PS3 = open door. Xbox= Xbox Live keeps the trash out for you most of the time.

Xbox has Minecraft, which is a plus. Anyways, Little Big Planet is more of a little kid game. (Played it at a little cousins place once.) Can't say anything about the other titles though.
