I'm guessing your talking about modern warfare from an american point of view? because I assure you british military is different, we rely less on air support. having worked with americans in afghan it seems your special forces are in partnership with air support... however the SAS are usually just lumped into hostile areas with little to no air support hence the reason they have the tag "special"

Umm, I don't believe Seal team 6 had any air support. (excluding the Blackhawks that airlifted them in) Quit trying to brag. Im so sick of you butthurt Brits trying so hard to prove that you're better than everyone else.

You can't possibly be bragging that your country's special forces are less equipped and supported than the U.S.'s, right? It's also not true.

I highly doubt your special forces go into combat zones with no support. Heck they probably use us as support in some cases!

You were the one overreacting in the first place were you not? Of course i am going to be offended because i am going into that military, and i don't need a British person telling me how it works and what we do when its wrong.

How was I over reacting? Its starting to annoy me how Americans mock other country's militarys, but moan when people mock theirs. It goes two ways brother. You know he's right though, you need air support, but so does Britain. We both rely on it.

I have a lot of respect for the British military, and don't generalize me with every American citizen. Actually he just told me you don't and i was pointing out that he was wrong.

I said our special forces not our military! READ the post... Our guys hump across borders as well as HALO in, airlift in etc... I currently work in the private sector and have worked with delta, Seals and UKSF, so please don't try and patronise me as if I don't know what I'm talking about. Your Delta and Seals are IMO the equivalent of our paratroopers and marines, our SAS are very different to what you class as special forces I wasn't bragging its you guys that label pretty much every other force you have as "special" And having worked with all the units above I'm pretty sure I'm more qualified to comment on them than you are

OK, its not really this thread but theres been a lot of threads with hate being spewed at the other. The American Army would certainly kick our ass for sure.

I am not going to go into who would kick whose ass because you are our closest ally and we have each others backs, but yes there is quite a bit of hate with people who don't understand military's.
