Bungie Weekly Update

A light update this week, but with heavy news about stuff that's happening next week, which, coincidentally is the birthday of the original Halo for Xbox. Coincidence? Nothing is a coincidence.

 •
Posted by: c0mfor7a31y_Num3 Nice Update. It was a nice read as usual. As Much as I like Bungie, and the Halo series, especially Halo: Combat Evolved for Xbox which even after the release of "GOW", I still Put Halo: Combat Evolved at # 1 in Shooters "In General" and "Gears of War" at # 2. I only bring this up because I feel that "GOW" took an absolutely perfect angle to deliver a shooter on a console. When I picked up "GOW" it imediately gave me the feeling of the first time I picked up Halo: Combat Evolved for Xbox. (I did NOT get his feeling when I picked up Halo 2 BTW!)The two games, although different in FPS to 3PS, delivers that feeling of a Game I really want to play, Straight forward, the good weapons are the good weapons, and the bad weapons are the bad weapons. They didn't try and "BALANCE" anything from weapon to weapon. IE: in Halo 2 all weapons are nearly matched including the RL against a Pistol. Which makes NO sense at all and makes me wonder why there are SO MANY different weapons in the game, when they all have the same result? I know it is way too late and Halo 3 will never be the "Straight Forward" shooter that Halo: CE is, especially with the recent information you have given us which is more than generous of Bungie(Clap Clap, TY) I think that Bungie should read the first page in the manual of "GOW". I think you may find it interesting that "GOW" although not specificallyaddressed, took the angle that the "Original Halo" took. IE: "You don't get to jump around like a moron in our Game". Is just One example of how the developers set out to deliver this absolutely amazing gameplay experience. I guess what I'm trying to say or ask, is why are all these companies trying to deliver a game with mechanics and gameplay that "The Greatest Game In the World Ever Released Had which is Halo: CE, and Bungie, the Makers of that game went in the opposite direction? IE: So Called "Balancing of Weapons", a super retarted "High Jump", "No Health System", "NO ALL AROUND WEAPON " (YES I'm talking about the M6D Pistol There!) Adding way tooooooooooooooo many weapons to the game, and now especially, The "Man Cannon". Don't get me wrong, but isn't that something from Super Mario Bros.? I don't understand why everyone is trying to make a game that is Like the Original Halo and all Bungie does, is make games that have "Things and Stuff" in them that have been done already in almost every shooter ever made. You lost your "Originality" and now all that is left are "Gimics" IE: a Female Spartan Voice. Not that it is a bad idea, its just that maybe there are more important things to address? Please Bungie, I ask you as a very long time and faithfull fan, that you guys go back to making games the way you used to, Halo: CE and Earlier. And I am hoping that a big announcement next week will be that for the birthday of Halo and Xbox, that Bungie/MS gives us a Tunnell Update for the Xbox 360 (cause of the HDD) and maybe even for the Xbox that will allow us faithfull fans to play the greates game ever made on XBL with MILLIONS of other Fans who have been waiting for that day for a very, very, very long time. Remember the Halo 1.5 build (XBL ENABLED) that was kicked around ALOT a year or so after the launch of Halo? well..... we know you have it, so give us a really, really, really big Birthday present and give us that Update. IGN even Rumored that that an XBL update for Halo:CE might be launched over the summer, so we know you have it, what gives? You know Halo 3 will most definately be the end of Halo2. But....... Halo: CE will ALWAYS be played and loved by your biggest fans you ever could imagine you had. I don't understand why Bungie left us behind to ROT along with their Greatest Game Ever? Why Bungie, Why?
Word.
