I would like to address most of the Xbox fans in this thread threating to refuse Bungie products if they made them for other consoles. Please, [b]chill out[/b]. I am one of the old school Bungie fans from way back in the day. I know how you feel, many of us felt the same way back then when Bungie began making products for other platforms besides the Macintosh, then got bought by Microsoft. I know, horrifying. However, I got over it, as most of us did. Bungie's games were just too good to stay bent up about the situation. Hell, to those who were saying that they want Bungie to avoid making games for Sony because they do not want to be forced to buy a PS3, I can tell you I felt exactly the same way when Bungie made Halo an Xbox exclusive and it was only grudgingly that I bought the system, though I have not regretted that purchase. If there is really one lesson that I gained from that time, it was that platform loyalty is pointless thing to cling to, and it is best to let it go while you can. I am a fan of the games, not a fan of the systems, and I will make my purchases based solely on what games I can get with it. If I could pass this lesson on to newer Bungie fans I would, but I suspect that my words would fall on deaf ears.

wow, i had heard a rumor about this but didn't think anything of it, happy for what this means to bungie, a little frightened for halo 3 downloads and updates and such, but alas i do trust you, don't let me down bungie

Congrats guys! Now with nobody giving you such strict deadlines you can finally ease off the pressure and make another awesome game. Plus we'll be able to make machimenias with bungie products again . . . right?

We also have every right not to buy anything from Bungie ever again if it comes out for another platform/console! You know rights don't just apply to who you want them to apply to. These rights you speak of aren't just for big companies! We also have the right as a consumer to choose what we buy! The vast majority of existing Bungie fans are Halo fans which are Xbox fans. Gaining their independence would just put Bungie in a position where they can expand their IP to other platforms and gain even MORE fans along the way. That way, more people can get to witness what it's like to play a Bungie game. Of course they're not going to be releasing any of the MGS published games on any other platform, but the PC... that's standard. If bungie made games for other consoles that means less Xboxes going out the door . Think. About how many people got an Xbox cause of halo its gona happen with other games they make as well bungie is a popular developer people want to buy there games because they know they are going to be fun. if people know there games are exclusive to one console people are gonna buy the console for it . Congratulations you guys. I'll be glad to see what comes next. However, if you do happen to make games for other platforms just make sure you release the game for the 360 also. (I'm not willing to dish out the cash just yet for a PS3)

Well if you guys are planning on making a game for Sony or Nintendo just announce it like a couple of months before. So I can buy a PS3 or Wii. I love you guys that much :)

Finally Bungie separates from that Piggy Banking advertisement whore Microsoft. Now we will see a new game that will most likely take place in the Marathon/Halo universe (They're both the same) New Campaign and new characters and dare I say it? New, better multiplayer! As much as you "Halo fans" are obsessed with halo you must get it through your minds that if they took the campaign farther it will severely suck, as Microsoft Game Studios may show you since they now own the rights to Halo and will most likely milk the series farther. PS: I'm glad to see Frankie's back. Also to you idiots, of course they will still be making games for the Xbox, it's just smart decision making. Many millions of gamers play Xbox games regularly, online, and competitively.

Microsoft did not make Bungie and Bungie also did not make the original Xbox... They entered a mutually beneficial relationship where Microsoft used it's gigantic PR and marketing arm to put Bungie on the map, and Bungie in turn gave them the one killer app. the original Xbox truly needed. No one was being used by anyone. They each knew what they were getting themselves into. At the same time though most of Bungie's fans now come from Halo... This means the majority of us learned about Bungie through the Xbox and Halo. I, like many others, don't want Bungie to develop games for Sony or Nintendo! I understand what the Mac users went through after MYTH and I know about Oni for the PS2, but it still pains me to imagine Bungie ever developing games for those damn dirty Sony apes! I know without Bungie the Xbox wouldn't have had Halo but without Microsoft, Bungie wouldn't have had the recognition. Nobody has been as influential to Bungie's success as the fans who believed in the original Xbox. Those fans I can assure you are most definitely not the old Mac guard, nor even the PC fans from Myth, or to even mention the Oni PS2 fans... Most PC fanatics hate the consoles. That fact remains true to this day. Go into any website that reviews games and allows their users to create "User Reviews" and see who exactly it is that is giving Halo 3 bad reviews. I can most assure most of you that it isn't even Sony or Nintendo fans... Most of the user reviews say something to likes of "HALO 3 SUCKS! ITS NOT EVEN A GOOD FPS! WAIT FOR CRYSIS YOU STUPID CRETINS!". The Sony loyalists are still grasping for anything that could possibly be a [b]"Halo killer"[/b].
