Weekly What's Update

Here we are at the end of another fun-filled week. New matchmaking playlists, new maps, it was crazy, that's for sure. This week, a wee bit of news about the new maps. Including screens. Because we love you.

  • I like a lot of new game variances: Snipers Rockets Brute Shots Pistols Sentinel Beams/Plasma Pistol Battle Rifles But I fell that some of them were not field tested enough. Snipers: Pros: Lots of fun, even though only1 out of 50 people have the skill to snipe. Cons: Spawn Cycling needs to be removed. If the apposing team has a position held down, then why would I want my partners spawning next to me? (For those that don't know Spawn Cycling, is a spawn setting that makes you or your team mate spawn right next to your teammates; regardless of the situation.) Rockets: Pros: Always been fun, don't remove it; if you hate this then practice more. Cons: None that I can think of. Brute Shots: Pros: I love it! Using that bad ass blade to take someone out is so sick. Cons: A lot of people don't like this because they've always avoided the Brute Shot. Now that they have to use it, they feel violated. Pistols: Pros: I've always loved playing a good game of pistols, in a custom. Cons: The plasma pistol has no home here. People have no choice but to use it! The game basically turns into a plasma combo match. In short...it's not fun, I would rather see Magnums only. Plasma Pistol/Sentinel Beam Pros: Love it. There is nothing better than to hitting someone with a 400 pound sentinel beam. Cons: None that I can think of...the only people I've heard complain; were people that never used the sentinel beam. Battle Rifles: Pros: Lots of fun, especially on "Lock Out"; players really have to talk to each other. Cons: Some levels like "Ascension" are not fun to play on. Just because if the apposing team grabs both snipers, they pretty much run the show. And when you finally over power them, or they run out of ammo, they're too far ahead to catch up. If Bungie has the ability the ability to create "Matchmaking" options like "Team Preview", then I say have them make a Matchmaking called "Bate Testing". Here they can properly field test all there new game variances; instead of releasing updates that were not properly tested. Heed my words Bungie...this could save you a lot of time and money. Lastly I heard that Bungie can not add new weapons into game play. They can only change the power settings and spawn locations. This is a serious problem, since a lot of people would like to see a game variance with Halo 1 weapons. If Bungie created an updated version of Halo 2, I would buy it. Also for all those that have limited funds, a return policy would be cool to. Hypothetical Situation: If Bungie did release Halo 2.5 (a version that could be altered via XBOX LIVE), and sold it for its retail $50, but offered to people that have H2 for $25, that would be nice. But I’m sure you have better things to do.
