MA8B - Improved version of the MA5B assault rifle. It fires 9mm armour-piercing rounds from a 50-round magazine. It can be fired in automatic or semi-automatic modes. It is less bulky than the MA5B and has longer barrel for increased accuracy. It has a built-in recoil dampener and an Improved integrated computer which displays the number of rounds left in a magazine, mode of fire, and the relative direction of the nearest gas giant. It has a higher rate of fire than a BR55 but more accuracy than a MA5B. It would be a useful, all-round infantry weapon. [Edited on 3/30/2005 2:53:07 PM]
