i was thinking (bad idea), but how come the mods dont start topics? I know before they were mods, they started topics and what have you. But is it a rule that mods dont start topics or assumptions? Or do they just generally stick to their "group" and talk amongst themselves there?

Some mods make posts specifically for the stickied spots (for FAQ's or some such). But I've noticed that MakaVeli4LIfe1 is a pretty prolific (comparatively speaking) topic creator in The Flood. I suspect that it's a double-edged sword. First, they are so busy being ninja's and all, that just being another member becomes less and less likely. Also, there is the matter of the "weight" or perceived weight that they carry. A silly post or a question post from a mod would either detract from their mod status (if too silly) or would appear to be "shut up and agree with me, I have spoken" if the discussion were a debate. I don't know for certain. Only one way to know, and it's not decided by us mere mortals.
