Should private groups be able to customize their profanity filter?

Should a private group be able to pick and choose what they feel should be censored? I mean it is kind of like their own little slice of the site. But their power doesn't supersede Bungie's and by customizing their profanity filter it may be a violation of the Terms of Use. So, what are your thoughts on this?

What offends you won't offend someone else. To use the line 'people who are offended' to make a point is extremely weak and holds little, if any, merit.
I can think of a few words that are filtered which would seriously offend people and would result in a perma ban if bypassed because of that fact.
People who get offended by a written word do not deserve an opinion. A single word cannot offend anybody who is not a moron. A well written page of insults, 'cutting to their core' as you put it, using no profanity, has a much higher chance of doing so. I'm sure I could write one out that offends a bunch of religious people, or other idiotic groups of individuals like them, without using a single word of profanity. If you are offended by a single word, that is your own problem. No one else's. Take account for your own weakness, don't project it onto others and try to force them to work around your pathetic existence.
Did you just create that account specifically for that reply? Pathetic existence indeed.
