multiple spartens
in the book frist strike at the end the chief and other spartens were headed to earth so are there going to be more spartens like fred who played abig part in the book in the singel player campain

I thinks they'll be in the levels with you because of the First Strike book. I also saw a picture somewhere and it showed MC and i think i saw another Spartan in the backround. It didnt look like the ODSTs so i think it was a Spartan. Im not sure.

The Flood is interesting, but nothing extremely important. The Flood covers the events of the game. You just get more insight on things happening outside of the game's view. First Strike is more important since it is a prelude to Halo 2 and gives a lot of new things for Halo 2.

It would be cool to have another spartan show up, fight alongside you, betray you, and become a pain in your side through out the rest game. He?she could just pop in every once in awhile, be evil, and run off with its tail between its legs until you ran into it again.

well i read fall of reach, should i just skip the flood for now and read first strike, or will i miss important stuff in the flood

They'll probaly die landing or something.[/quote] #1 The soul fighter scenario was for Halo: Combat Evolved in which you became the only creature alive on Halo as those around you perished. #2 For Halo 2 it has already been shown marine interaction will play a key role, so adding Spartans to help you at certain points is more than intriguing seeing as marines are about as powerful as pulp. #3 Dieing landing? Dear God that would be lame...seeing as something similar has happened before *First Strike*

In order to understand the plot behind the hole spartans you have to read the books. To understand the multiple spartans you have to at least read First Strike as it answers how they all survived. **Spoiler** Multiple Spartans will in fact probably fight side by side with you to defend mankind. First of all Three are with you in the end of First Strike. Second one Spartan was taken by Dr. Hasley(creator of Spartans) and this incident may come into play in Halo 2. **End Spoiler**

Yea, Reach was the planet, the Spartans home, the Main Military/Naval planet left. And the Spartans and Dr. Hasley found a crystal that compresses slipstream space to go faster, and the covenant would not shoot them becuase they were worried about shoot the crystal, so it tells us they wanted it.

i did not read the first book but the covnet wanted the crytsel that some dorter hasly or something like that had so they did not glass the planit

i read the first book, the last i know is the other spartans that went to fight on the ground at reach, i thought they died. i know there was one that was with master chief but he got launched out into space. you say he found these ones on reach, were these the ones that mendez went to train or did the ones on the ground survive [Edited on 4/14/2004 5:22:30 PM]

that is the only book i read so i do not about what you a taking about but they suvied on reach about 6-7

I think there will be more spartans in Halo 2. I think bungie made Nylund put that in there for a reason.

**Spoiler** He found the spartans on reach, have u read the first and 2nd books? The covenent didnt glass the planet cuz they were looking for something, the crystal that make slipstream all funky.

You might want to warn people about spoilers because alot of people havent read the book yet, you shouldnt spoil the fun for them. Another thing, refer to my post about the new pic.

i havent read first strike yet, you say there is more spartans, where did they come from? are those the spartan II's that were on sigma octanus or are these the new age of spartans that mendez went to train?
