I'm wondering because in the games Flood shoot master chief and he gets hurt but how if he has thick meta all around him is it that future guns are just that powerful?

The black bodysuit can be pierced by a Flood's puny little tentacles.
The flood's strength is amplified once in a combat form. A human form was able to send Sergeant Johnson flying across a good 10-15 meters with a single swipe of his "tentacle"
I was talking about that Infection Form in "The Flood".
This makes a fairly decent point as i remember an infection form almost getting Spartan 117 after he dropped his guard and was saved by Cortana. Leads me to believe either the Bodysuit itself under the armour is not as strong as it could be, OR the flood has impressive strength even while in an infection Form.
The Flood infectors (be them the infection forms we know of, or something else) would need to have super-sharp tendrils, to pierce the armor of the advanced civilizations they've come across over the years, like the Forerunners. Flood are master adapters, one getting through the Chief's tiatanium nanocomposite body-suit is no surprise.
It can adapt all it want, it still isn't making those puny tendrils any stronger.
This is the world of fiction, where anything is possible, even a giant green beast closing a black hole with his bare hands. If a Flood infector can pierce nancomposite titanium armor, than that's what he can do, am I right? [Edited on 09.25.2012 7:47 PM PDT]
