No way I'm the only one here.
I'm excited to work along Electrical Engineers, because honestly I don't grasp those concepts as well as Mechanical. Maybe it's because the thought of machines, steel, just seems more concrete and solid to me. I feel very comfortable working with machines. Of course I'll have to understand these concepts, but it's not like I'll be inventing/improving whole machines by myself, I'll be collaborating with others. I wish I had enough confidence in myself to believe I could invent the next big thing, but the odds are slim and at this time I have no ideas lol

I would have thought the best engineers can quickly think up solutions to problems placed in front of them, not necessarily inventing. I've always though about engineering, but I'd need to look into it more.

Edited by halo: 1/18/2013 10:48:46 PMYeah I am not very articulate, when I said inventing, I meant coming up with new ideas to better a machine or product or make it more efficient. But of course, Engineers would have an easier time inventing stuff than the average person because they know so much about mechanics, physics and math.

I would think it would come with practise. If you spend a lot of time solving problems, you're going to get good at solving problems. If you love engineering, go for it. It's always looked like fun to me.

Never thought I would like it as much as I do until I started in my first Engineering class. This is really something I feel passionate about and I'm so excited about going to class Tuesday lol. I've never felt this excited about something school related in my life, but I actually enjoy this. It's quite an amazing feeling to want to do something you love as a career.
