I had trouble downloading the maps on my xbox 360. When I did it would say Installation failed contact www.xbox.com for more support. Then I tried my xbox and they downloaded fine. ??

Can anyone help me with this problem? I'm trying to download Desolation and Tombstone but I'm having some troubles. I added a Visa Debit Card to my payment process and tried to DL the maps, i got the Error message: Download Failed. Please try again later. So i waited a couple days and tried again, it said i purchased it, but it said it failed the Download, and now when i try to DL it it says Failed Download, go to www.xbox.com for additional support. I'm not getting this Premium Download errors that some people are getting and i dont know how to fix this. Please Help :)

What I am talking about, is what it's saying when I try to enter any games in Halo 2 and what they told me on the phone. I read myself on here, which games will require the maps but it's still saying that to me for some reason. But hey, if you have a solution I'd be glad to hear it because I didn't think it wouldn't allow me to play either. :( Edit: I tried to explain to the man on the telephone that I read only certain games would require the new maps and that won't even be until next week blahblahblah. He didn't offer me any explanation. Oh wait, I just went through the list and I couldn't play a --blam!-load of games without the map, but I can play Team Hardcore in Matchmaking. I haven't read through all of the pages on here, because I don't have time to listen to everyone whine. However, I called myself and I'll tell you what they told me and the problem I am having in case that helps anyone. I tried to purchase the maps and it tells me 'Purchase Failed'. Now when I try to play any game of Halo 2, it says the maps are required to play. Basically, I don't have the maps and I can't play ANY games now until I get them. I have to deal with it. This is because the servers cannot accomodate all of the people who are attempting to download the new maps and it's getting flooded and people are having problems. WHICH MEANS, I'm SOL on the news map and playing any games for an estimated amount of time. What amount of time might that be? WELLLLL..the man on the telephone told me to call if I can't get it to work in 2-3 days. Just lovely. :) [Edited on 04.19.2007 2:45 PM PDT]

To everyone: If you have a problem with downloading I suggest you go and read the earlier pages of this forum because about 50 other people have the same problem as you do and have given suggestions to solve it and I am getting bored of seeing post after post be the same complaint.

hey uh yea i cant download the maps because it sais failed to save content to xbox and it sais to go to xbox.com for support but i got no support so i came here. any help?

I purchase then download the new maps. It says installation of content failed. See www.xbox.com for more support infromation. xbox.com has no info on errors on the new maps that i could find lol. so i phoned customer support and the guy told me alot of this is happeneing because so many people and trying to download them and its causing network errors or something like that. He told me to just wait it out.

why are they making rumble pit unranked now? is there some kind of logic reason behind this because i liked rumble pit when it was ranked, now there will be nubs playing with me all the time. [Edited on 04.19.2007 2:04 PM PDT]

do u people even read any of the posts before u or do u think that the world revolves around you and u get to skip to the front of the line... Everything u guys have posted has already been explained that there is nothing to resolve the problem ATM. Bungie / MS is ofc working on trying to fix this problem. Quit posting what has been posted before, read a little bit if u have enough time to jump on the forums and complain about something. deeski, doesnt matter if u have a t4 connection lol, if ur router / isp is blocking the ports that the host of these files uses, it wont even connect. this is bull i payed for the maps, i called and they could not tell me PHUKN nothing... wtf im getting mad... and its not easy for me to get mad.... COME ON BUNGIE OR MICROSOFT GET IT RIGHT!!! XBOX360 IS THE -blam!-, DONT phuk IT UP AND MAKE ME GET A PS3...

I'm on the original XBOX and I continue to receive the same error message: "Installation of content failed. See www.xbox.com for more support information". I tried several times, and it continues giving me the same message. The price tag underneath the map pack selection says purchased however, so does that mean that I was charged for a map pack that was unable to install...? Bungie, please fix this problem ASAP. I was excited about the new maps, but now I'm just disappointed. I just removed my old credit card from the account (had two on there), now instead of getting "Download Failed", I get DL failed and "Please see Xbox.com" for more information. What's the deal?

yes mate i have been dealing with the same probably. however by some miracle of nature the maps are now downloading. try them again now mape see if u can get them. im on a 360 too and live in the UK. ryanloki p.s. hope everyones resolves their issues with the download. ry
